Põhjanaba: Santa Claus Timmo
A bilingual booking website: home visits with live prices and free times, event enquiries, photo sessions in a partner’s calendar and personal video greetings.

The task
Santa Claus Timmo needed a website that sells by itself. Visitors should see the price and free times straight away and send an enquiry. In December there is no time to answer every price question one by one. The old website was built on a heavy page builder (Avada) and could not take bookings.
The solution
We built the website on WordPress without a page builder. All the logic lives in one separate plugin. The website is fast and easy to manage, and every service is built around its real business logic.
Four services, each with its own logic:
- Home visit: the price calculator takes into account the date, time, length of the visit, number of children and location. Free times come straight from Google Calendar and travel time is calculated with Google Maps. Customers only see times that really work and a price that really applies.
- Events: a two step enquiry form for kindergartens, companies and communities. The estimate is based on how long Santa Claus is present, and time conflicts are checked against the calendar.
- Photo session: booking into the calendar of a partner, photographer Merle Värv. Times open one after another, the booking is held, and the photographer confirms or changes it through her own management link. Galleries of her earlier work can be managed, and the permission to publish them is recorded.
- Video greeting: ordering with a date based price (early bird discount), delivery time and the number of people greeted by name.
Reliability: every enquiry has a reference number. Double submissions and dropped connections do not create two orders. Emails go into a sending queue, and customers can be sent a secure link to add details about their child later. System emails are marked so that auto responders do not reply to them.
Two languages: the whole website, forms, confirmation emails and secure pages are in Estonian and English. The language is stored with each order, so the service provider can see straight away that the customer wants the service in English.
Findability and accessibility: structured data (schema.org), hreflang language links, a sitemap, Open Graph images, a keyboard friendly interface and a reduced motion mode.
Speed and mobile: WebP images in several sizes, lazy loading, light code without a page builder and forms designed for mobile.
The result
- Customers see the price and free times within seconds and do not need to send an email.
- Santa Claus and the photographer receive organised enquiries with all the details they need.
- One website serves both Estonian and English speaking families and companies.
